Active listening is the quality of being attentive to what the interlocutor says, observing all verbal and non-verbal characteristics in order to respond effectively.

Non-verbal characteristics are of little or no importance when communicating in a work context.

Pausing during a conversation is always awkward, unnecessary and should therefore be avoided.

Interaction and communication between two people always involve more than one perspective, point of view, opinions or ideas.

When meeting new people avoid repeating their name as it may seem rude.

Media literacy is the ability to read online article, books and other literary works.

Digital and/or media literacy is the ability to find, evaluate, use and create information using digital technologies.

Fake news is fabricated information that resembles other news in content but is misleading, false and/or has malicious intent.

Sloppy writing, with too many grammatical and/or spelling mistakes, using too many exclamation marks and capital letters, are all signs of amateurish writing and a probably biased and invalid font.

Avoid revealing your truest and most authentic self on professional social media. Instead, keep a strictly professional profile.
